Product Features & Customization

WeatherSolve does make wind break fences that go around solar panels. Unfortunately, solar panels don’t seem to stand up well in wind storms, so having a wind-breaking system in place will save you money. The wind break fence material even allows a portion of the light through to charge them.

WeatherSolve can make moving gates or retractable screens; however, they are not meant to move in everyday situations. They are more suited to move maybe once a month, depending on the size and terrain.

WeatherSolve can supply the poles, but we can also work with existing ones. If there is a supplier in your area, we can work with them as well.

All of WeatherSolve’s windbreaks are custom-designed for the customer’s individual needs. The height would depend on the customer’s needs, but as a general rule, the fence should be at least as high as the stockpile it is protecting.

There are a few different colors of fabric available, but the color may depend on what type of fence you require. For example, UVB protection or fire retardant fabrics. Standard colors include black and green, with additional custom options available for large projects.

Because all of our windbreaks are custom, it is possible to have the windbreak painted with a company logo.

Performance & Durability

The upwind component slows down the wind to prevent dust issues and erosion on the stockpile. The downwind component keeps the dust from leaving the stockpile.

The windbreak will last for a long time. Some maintenance may be required after bad storms, but if maintained properly, the structure itself will last for many years. The fabric’s lifespan depends on UV exposure, with a typical fabric lasting about 10 years, while the structure lasts much longer.

The cables WeatherSolve uses are built to high standards and can handle larger loads than required. The fence has an overload release system that releases the lower edges of the fabric before cables or poles break. The top edge remains secured to prevent loose cables from becoming a hazard, even in hurricane-force winds.

The parts undergo regular testing for fatigue, impact loads, and static loads at our facility, as well as external testing facilities.

We have designed a machine to test the clips at our head office and have sent samples to external testing facilities.

Our windbreaks have been tested in extreme conditions, including Hurricane Andrew in Florida (1992), which had 200 mph winds.

Yes, WeatherSolve windbreaks are designed to withstand UV exposure. We have windbreaks in places like Oman and Bahrain, which experience extreme heat.

Yes, our windbreaks are used in cold regions such as Thompson Creek and Williams Lake. We use high-quality fabrics that can handle all weather conditions, including snow.

Installation, Maintenance & Shipping

WeatherSolve ships worldwide and has agents in many countries to assist you. See the continents we serve here.

Yes, you can install it yourself. We offer training and can send people to assist you throughout the process.

Fence maintenance is simple. After strong wind storms, some clips may release; you just need to replace them and re-clip the fabric.

Yes, our team inspects the fence after installation to ensure everything is correctly set up. We check the poles, fabric, clips, cables, and other components.

The fabric is mostly self-cleaning as wind naturally removes dust. However, if cleaning is required for aesthetic reasons, follow these steps: Use a pressure washer with a wide spray nozzle (40 degrees or more). Keep the wand far enough from the fabric so the threads do not shift. Aim the nozzle at a downward angle of 20 degrees. Do not use hot water.

The timeline varies depending on the project. A 1 km fence typically requires: 2 months for design 2 months for materials 3 months for installation

The depth of the foundations depends on the windbreak’s requirements and the specific terrain.

Use Cases & Applications

Reduces wind speed and dust Decreases wind chill Protects the environment Prevents valuable stock from blowing away Increases security and provides a visual barrier Shields structures from storms Helps plants grow and reduces evaporation

Reduces wind erosion on stockpiles Saves money by preventing loss of valuable materials Protects the environment from harmful dust Prevents dust from affecting nearby communities Helps avoid fines and penalties for environmental violations

We have installed fences worldwide in various terrains. However, we respect client privacy and do not disclose specific company names.

Yes, WeatherSolve has windbreaks in many regions, including Bahrain, Oman, Brazil, Canada, the USA, Europe, and parts of Asia. We customize fabric selection to suit different climates. See the continents we serve here.

WeatherSolve supplies full windbreak fence systems but can provide fabric if needed.

Yes, we can make retractable or removable windbreaks, but they are not meant for daily movement.

WeatherSolve primarily designs industrial-scale windbreaks. We have done some agricultural projects but do not typically provide solutions for home gardens.
